Cruise Adventures offering $25 whale watching

Cruise Adventures newest and 4th whale watching boat has arrived and to celebrate they are offering $25 whale watching tickets, on sale now. You can buy as many as you like. The sale tickets can be used any time during the whale season.

This year will be a bumper whale season starting late May until early November. Last year Cruise Adventures was the only whale watching operator in Australia to give a money back guarantee for the whole official season (July to October inclusive).

Deceased whale located off Port Macquarie

Port Macquarie Cruise Adventures whale watching crew discovered a deceased whale in the shallows off north beach late yesterday afternoon.

At 8.30am this morning Cruise Adventures Gemini RIB carried out a further patrol along the beach and relocated the whale 1km offshore 3 miles north of Port Macquarie. The 8.5 metre Brydes whale had been dead for some time.

The finding was a sad discovery for the Port Macquarie Cruise Adventures crew who have now logged over 2,200 trips and have a permanent marine biologist on the team.

Southern Right whales visit Port Macquarie

Two Southern Right whales made a spectacular appearance at Port Macquarie yesterday. The whales spent most of the morning in calm waters just off shore swimming right up to amazed passengers on board Cruise Adventures’ vessels Discovery and Apollo.

Before heading further out to sea one of the whales put on a fantastic display of breaching, easily seen from the headlands.

Best Port Macquarie whale watching season ever

Whale watching in Port Macquarie this season has been fantastic according to John Fowler from Cruise Adventures.

Cruise Adventures have 3 boats out whale watching this season; Discovery, Gemini and Apollo with up to 15 trips a day to see the majestic humpback whales, which migrate past Port Macquarie non-stop from May to the end of November.

So far this season visitors on board Discovery were treated to a rare sighting of a pink Humpback whale. Owner and skipper of the vessel, John Fowler, said it was the first time he had ever seen this whale in 4 years of whale watching and 2230 trips.
