Hastings Choristers’ highly successful Christmas at the Glasshouse concert in December emphasised the warm and fond relationship between the choral group and the Hastings community. The concert was sold out and received rave reviews for its diverse program of song, dance, instrumental and festive season choral performances.
With 2010 shaping up to be the biggest year in the group’s 20 year history, Hastings Choristers is extending an invitation for new members to join their friendly, supportive team and participate in future performances, including those in the superb environment and acoustics of the Glasshouse.
No previous experience is necessary – just enthusiasm and a willingness to be involved. If you do have previous singing experience, Hastings Choristers is the perfect outlet for you to indulge your passion. New chums are asked to come along to several Monday rehearsals to experience singing with either or both of our adult choirs – there’s no obligation to join.

Port Macquarie’s wonderful new Glasshouse facility delivers the high quality, acoustically perfect artistic performances that the local community has long deserved. While many performances will be sourced from outside the region, The Glasshouse is also a huge step forward for our local talent.
Hastings Choristers, who have been bringing the joy of song to Greater Port Macquarie since 1990, are thrilled and delighted to announce their debut concert series in The Glasshouse – an association sure to bring enhanced enjoyment and pleasure to the audiences of this talented and versatile ensemble.
The Bach to Broadway concerts will take place at 8pm on Saturday 31 October and 2pm on Sunday 1 November, and will celebrate five centuries of amazing and much loved music.
The Hastings Choristers choirs, Cantorus and Cantabile, are eagerly awaiting their first full production in the fantastic new venue. These choirs make an impressive sight, as well as sweet sounds, and both have a large local following of music lovers who appreciate fine music – the Bach to Broadway program will certainly not disappoint.

Simply not to be missed is this annual event, where the joy of group singing is celebrated.
Hastings Choristers Inc. once again presents a light and bright program of favourite songs for a variety of choirs and ensembles at McKillop Senior College hall Lochinvar.
Place: Port Macquarie on Sunday 5 July at 2pm. Audiences voted this ‘the best ever’ last year, commenting that the variety of choirs and repertoire provided amazing contrasts, and they were thoroughly entertained right until the last note.
