Port Macquarie Customer Care Awards

Council’s Economic Development Section originated the award-winning Customer Care Program to help boost the commercial appeal of the Hastings area for both locals and visitors alike. The objective is to have this area widely recognised for its high quality customer service, as a further incentive to visitors in the highly competitive travel and tourism market.

The great success of the Customer Care Program – run on a very limited budget by dedicated Council staff and a volunteer Board of industry representatives – is evidenced by the strongly growing membership and the number and high standard of submissions for this year’s awards.

More than 260 businesses have now made a commitment to delivering better customer service by joining the Customer Care program. To be recognised as a finalist in these awards is strong affirmation of a business’ achievement of excellent customer service, and all finalists are to be congratulated. At the awards ceremony, the best of the best were recognised for their leadership in providing customer service excellence.
