Port Macquarie-Hastings Council’s Glasshouse, Arts, Conference and Entertainment Centre has won a major building award at the Newcastle Master Builders Association Excellence in Building and Construction Awards.
The Glasshouse took out the award on Friday night for Commercial Project over $20 million. The award was presented to the builders, Hansen Yuncken.
Council’s General Manager Andrew Roach said, “With all the blood, sweat and tears that have been attributed to the Glasshouse, winning this major award is certainly well deserved.
“The judges recognised the state of the art building as being a building that will go a long way toward defining Port Macquarie through the 21st century,” Mr Roach said.
The Glasshouse project is now automatically entered into the National Master Builders Association Awards to be announced in October at Canberra.
