Little Red Vamp has teamed up with LIVE2U to create an event they are truly passionate about.
What is An Enchanted Eve?
An Enchanted Eve is a Masquerade Ball, which is being held at the Port Macquarie Race Club on Saturday 26 June. It’s going to be an event like nothing Port Macquarie has ever seen! A grand night of cabaret-esque debauchery for vagabonds, gypsies and Bohemians alike!
You’ll feel you’ve fallen down a rabbit hole as you step inside this unconventional, whimsical event – which will feature live music, burlesque, vaudeville, circus and art installations – all in a fantastical, opulent setting.
Tell us about the entertainment.
There will be two dedicated performance areas operating simultaneously. This event will feature local talent and popular entertainers from around Australia, with the emphasis on independent artists. Our musicians have been carefully selected to appeal to a variety of musical tastes.
The line-up includes folk singer/songwriter, Madeline Hudson, the electric rock/blues and roots stylings of Grant Walmsley and the Agents of Peace and the vampish three piece group, The Dark Shadows.
Dangerboy and his troupe, Phantasia, will ensure guests are exposed to a variety of explosive performances that pay homage to late 1800s Bohemian cabaret and depression-era circus sideshow, including cabaret acts, death defying aerial artists and fire performers. Flaming Linda will entertain guests with a fire burlesque act and some of the gorgeous graduates of ‘Boudoir & Beyond’ will tantalise with a seductive dance routine. Local belly-dance troupe, Belly Rana, will also mesmerise guests with their swaying hips and undulating torsos.
What’s the dress code?
Because this is a special event which is heavily themed, we do ask guests to make an effort with their outfits! We suggest guests dress semi-formal with a mask, or in an elaborate costume – in keeping with the Bohemian/gypsy theme.
Some ideas include Tim Burton’s inspired Alice in Wonderland or Mad Hatter costume; glamorous ball gowns/suits & masks; Bohemian top hats or capes; or even Moulin Rouge costumes. Anything goes really, so long as it is interesting and quirky! People should remember it’s not every day that you get to dress up for an event of this calibre!
